I can't believe the weekend's over and I'm back at work. It did seem like a long break though. We got out early on Friday. 2:00-what a treat! Went shopping around town with my friend/co-worker Vanessa. It was nice doing girly shopping. I rarely get to do that due to the lack of female friends I have. I miss it. Then she came home with me to borrow my bike for a bit. Poor thing. Bike too big, her legs too short, and a nasty thunderstorm brewing overhead made for an awful time getting home. She planned to ride through the park but ended up dragging the thing through the subway.

Saw Spiderman 2. Now what's all the hype about? It was OK. Just OK. Too boring I thought. Too much mopey Tobey and not enough swinging Spidey. Not nearly enough. But Dr. Octopus was great. That love story between Spidey & MJ is so unbelievable too. Even I didn't cry. I think he lost his powers b/c he's not getting any action. Bah.

Saturday we joined up with Eugene and went to Long Island City to see the Noguchi Museum. Beautiful place. Although the garden could've been larger. But the 2nd floor is amazing and transported me to another world. It was also a cool retreat from the blazing heat outside. The White Castle sliders, fries n' Coke we got on the way helped too :) Damn those burgers are tasty.

Ended up playing some Texas Hold'em Saturday night and winning both-read it-BOTH rounds. Oh yeah baby. I'm unstoppable! Henry was busy downloading porn and Matthew busy mad snacking and taking up the whole couch. So it was down to me and Celvyn. No problem there. You can come by anytime Cel and just drop off your cash. Thanks buddy!

Sunday walked around town w/ Eric n husband. The city was so empty, it was kind of creepy. Walked all the way down the west side along the water. Saw the fireworks from Battery Park which was a nice change. Really pretty seeing them explode over the Statue of Liberty.

Went to a cool bar afterwards in Tribeca called Anotheroom. GREAT beer and wine selection. Cool music. Low lighting. No pretention. It was a perfect end to our night. Good choice Eugene. Happy Birthday USA!

texas hold'em is the best card game ever. especially if you always win... spiderman 2 is over rated and dragged sooo much, it was unbelievable that it was the top movie at the box office. i'm glad to see somebody sort of agrees with me there.
