"So much man, in such a little body"

(quote from concert-goer after the show)

I'm still coming down from last night's Prince concert at MSG. He played for almost 3 hours. We even received free CD's of his new album as we arrived!

He is such a little firecracker. Red seemed to be the theme of the evening. He emerged from below the stage in a suit that was half red in the front, half black in the back. Opened with his new funky song Musicology. Then went into a Purple Rain/greatest hits medley that I didn't care for. He did the same when we saw him years ago. I'd prefer to hear a few really good FULL songs than snipets. But it was not a problem. He dissapeared, changed his shirt (red, but more gold chains and chest hairs) and came back and rocked our world with a slow jam (don't know the name) that made me all warm and, um, fuzzy inside. He had a great band with him including Maceo Parker. Many of the songs they did turned into jam sessions that lasted well over 10 minutes. He is so freakin' amazing on guitar. I could actually go to a show and just watch him play his guitar all night long. He's incredibly entertaining and plays the crowd well, especially the women. The man is like 50 and still makes women scream when he unbuttons his shirt and gives us a peek of his chest. But we got the full view tonight! Nipples and all. He is the embodiment of sex. He oozes it. And he has the cutest little smile I've ever seen.

Highlights included an acoustic set that began with Little Red Corvette, Raspberry Beret and Seven (awesome!)
