Happy Birthday Tom Waits

Tom is 55 today. Years ago after hearing Innocent When You Dream from Frank's Wild Years I swore up and down that I could never, ever like his music. Now I am a fan. His lyrics have such depth and feeling and are nice n' rough around the edges. I can thank David for forcing his music upon me until I finally realized how talented he is.

I got Frank’s Wild Years on vinyl from an uncle of mine when it was released. It was a strange musical experience, but being into early David Bowie it was edible. I remember listening to it many years ago, but since the introduction of the CD I have never heard it again. Now I have to download it or search the attic to find it again.

A completely different thing:
I have just watched Spiderman 2, and earlier having looked at your pictures here at your blog I suddenly figured out who you remind me of; Kirsten Dunst.
(I hope your husband is not offended by me writing this. It is not an attempt to be some kind of “pick up line”.)

Have a nice day!

Roger

actually Roger you're not the first person to tell me this. I don't see it though. But I wouldn't mind swinging around NYC w/ Spidey!
