In da House!
WOW what an election night. It's so amazing how divided this country still is. Obviously there are people who want change but what about all those duds that are (I feel) too scared? I am so totally thrilled the Dem's won the House, and that a woman will finally, for the first time in US HISTORY be Speaker of the House! When I heard the news I became so emotional. I don't know much about Nancy Pelosi but this is just giving me, and so many others, hope that maybe things will (slowly) be on a road to change.
Now the senate race. Whew! Crazy crazy stuff. Luckily I'm working from home today so I will be glued to the TV.
And for those of you who need to brush up on just exactly what the House and Senate does and how a bill is created (like myself), click here : )

Yes!!! I am psyched, too. I really feel optimistic about the future. Maybe things really will start to change. A new direction in Iraq, increased federal minimum wage, more action regarding the environment, etc.
I'm still on pins and needles, though, about the outcome of the Senate races in Montana and Virginia...
I think this link has a better explaination on how a bill is made into a law.
Whew! Who knew you had to climb so many steps?
My link has better pics. But yours has that catchy tune we all love.
Yay for the Democrats on top for once (except for GA,where Sonny Perdue is governor again...ah!)!!!
